When it comes to buying a new car, our preferences can range in style, size, amenities and brand. One thing that typically resonates with everyone is safety. As road accidents and traffic continue to increase, drivers, passengers and pedestrians have come to expect that automakers are taking initiatives to improve the safety of others on-the-road.

What we do we at Rusnak/Pasadena Volvo enjoy about our full-size luxury crossover, the radically redesigned 2016 Volvo XC90?

In truth, just about everything.

Here at Rusnak/Pasadena Volvo, we're seriously smitten by our full-size SUV, the spanking-new 2016 Volvo XC90.

Without question one of its finest features, the XC90's engine is exceptional. Motivated by a 2.0-liter super- and turbocharged four-cylinder, the XC90 makes a massive 316 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Its 0-to-60 mph time is similarly impressive, checking in at a very quick 7.4 seconds.

It's just a day in the life for the stunning new Volvo XC90 when our preferred automaker's stunning SUV wins Motor Trend's "SUV of the Year." Self-driving cars could save thousands of lives every year, and turn boring commutes into valuable "you" time. But are they safe?

Automakers, the government, and security analysts all need to be working hand in hand to bring self-driving cars to the roads, safely.

Volvo has already been working closely with the government of Gothenburg, Sweden, in order to put 100 self-driving cars on the road in their home city. These vehicles will be based off of the Volvo XC90 with additional sensors and redundant computer systems.
