GQ Magazine recently covered Volvo, and the company's long history of design and lifestyle-worthy cars.

They are careful to point out what they mean by lifestyle. When you live, and design cars in Sweden, you are expecting of your drivers a certain level of awe with the world. Sweden is mountainous, and has a beautiful coastline that dissolves into an archipelago of islands.

Volvo is constantly innovating, particularly in the areas of safety, and comfort.

It has been known for years that a rear-facing child seat is more effective at protecting a child's underdeveloped spine during a collision. Because a child's vertebrae may not be fully ossified until around 6 years of age, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children stay in rear-facing child seats as long as possible.

We would look at any parent, and ask how easy it is to keep your child in a rear-facing seat for that long.

With an ambitious growth plan coming in the pipes, it seems that Volvo has all the tools of success. On the one hand, there's the elegant design language of the next-gen lineup, as shepherded by designer Thomas Ingenlath, and an $11 billion budget to overhaul the entire model range by 2020. In 2016, the next two models will debut: the S90 and V90.
